Why our jewellery doesn’t tarnish

Every piece starts with a stainless steel core, which doesn’t rust, flake or react with skin. It’s then coated in 18K real gold using PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition): the gold is bonded to the steel in a vacuum chamber instead of dipped on, so it becomes part of the surface.

That’s why it stands up to water, sweat and everyday knocks far better than traditional plating, and why we can offer a warranty on every piece.

Every piece is covered for 1 year from the date of purchase. If the material or workmanship of your jewellery fails, we’ll replace it.

The warranty doesn’t cover lost items, scratches from normal wear and tear, improper use or storage, or any modification made after purchase.

Why does jewellery from some other brands change colour?

Most fashion jewellery is brass or a cheap alloy dipped in a thin layer of gold. It looks great for a few weeks, then the thin plating wears through, the base metal reacts with skin and water, and it turns dark. Ours is built the other way round: a stainless steel core that doesn’t react, with 18K gold bonded on by PVD rather than dipped, and a 1-year warranty behind it.

Is your jewellery really waterproof?

Yes. Every piece is 100% waterproof: shower in it, swim in it, work out in it. The 18K gold is PVD-bonded to a stainless steel core, so water, sweat and sunscreen don’t get underneath it.

Will it turn my skin green?

No. Green marks come from copper and brass bases reacting with skin. Our jewellery has a stainless steel core, which doesn’t react.

What is PVD gold plating?

PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) is a vacuum coating process that bonds 18K gold to the stainless steel at a molecular level. It’s the same method used by premium waterproof jewellery brands, and it lasts far longer than traditional dip plating.

How can you be so much cheaper?

We use the same stainless steel and 18K PVD gold as the premium waterproof brands. The difference is we sell direct to you, don’t pay for huge campaigns or wholesale margins, and keep our pricing honest. You pay for the jewellery, not the name.

What does the 1-year warranty cover?

Any fault in the material or workmanship within 1 year of purchase, including tarnishing or colour loss, and we’ll replace the piece. It doesn’t cover lost items, scratches from normal wear, improper use or storage, or modifications. Make a claim here.

Is it suitable for sensitive skin?

Yes. Stainless steel is lightweight and gentle on skin, which is why it’s a favourite for people who react to cheaper metals.
